Cookie Policy
This page lists everything Muse Escorts stores in your browser, what each item is for, how long it lasts and how to block it.
3. What we store on your device
This is the full list. Nothing else is set by Muse. The Domain column matters: the public directory lives on museescorts.co.nz and the advertiser dashboard on app.museescorts.co.nz, and each only stores what it needs.

We do not set cookies for language, display preferences, load balancing, payments or advertising. If that changes we will update this list first.
4. Analytics
4.1 Google Analytics 4
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 on every public page. It sends Google the pages you view, the page you came from, your browser and device type and an approximate location, tied to the random ID in the _ga cookie. That ID lasts two years, so Google can tell it is the same browser coming back. The data is pseudonymous (tied to a random number, not your name), not anonymous. Google processes it in the United States under its own privacy policy.
Can be blocked: Yes, in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on (section 6). The site works exactly the same without it.
4.2 Muse's own counters
Separately from Google, Muse counts profile views and taps on contact buttons so advertisers can see how their listing is doing. These counters use no cookie. Each visit is keyed by a hash that rotates every 24 hours, so we can see that a listing was viewed several times in a day without being able to link those views to you or to the next day's views. No raw IP address is stored.
Can be blocked: Not through cookie settings, because there is no cookie. There is also nothing to link back to you.
4.3 Advertising cookies
None. We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels or share browsing data with advertisers.
5. Third-party services
Two outside companies set cookies on our domains:
Google (United States)
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 set the _ga, _ga_* and _gid cookies on museescorts.co.nz. Google's privacy policy governs what it does with the data.
Clerk (United States)
Clerk handles advertiser and agency login and sets the session cookies on app.museescorts.co.nz only. Visitors to the public site never receive a Clerk cookie.

6. How to block cookies
6.1 Browser settings
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data. Blocking cookies for museescorts.co.nz also clears local and session storage in most browsers.

6.3 Opting out of Google Analytics only
Google publishes a free browser add-on, the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site you visit while leaving other cookies alone. It is available from Google for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on desktop.
6.4 Private browsing
A private or incognito window throws away cookies and storage when you close it. Nothing breaks; the age gate simply asks again next time.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Our site does not read it and Google Analytics does not honour it. If you want to opt out of analytics, use the browser settings or the Google add-on described in section 6.
8. Updates to this policy
If we add or remove anything stored in your browser we update the table in section 3 and the "Last updated" date at the top. If we ever add a cookie that tracks you across other sites we will say so here before it goes live.
