1. Sending a copyright notice

Muse Escorts hosts content on behalf of its advertisers. Section 92C of the Copyright Act 1994 sets out how a host responds when told that hosted material infringes copyright, and this policy follows it. If a photograph, video or piece of text that you own or control has been uploaded here without your permission, send us a notice.

1.1 How to send it

Email support@museescorts.co.nz or use the report form (choose "Copyright Infringement"). Include:

• Your name and a way to contact you
• What the work is (for example, "three photographs from a studio shoot in March 2025")
• The listing number or the URL where it appears on Muse
• A statement that you own the copyright or control the rights to the work

Anything that helps us see it is yours, such as the original files or a link to where you first published the work, speeds things up but is not required to start.

2. What we do with it

Acknowledgement: we acknowledge your notice within 1 business day. If something is missing we tell you what.

Removal: once the notice is complete we hide the content as soon as possible, normally within 2 business days.

Uploader told: we tell the advertiser who uploaded it that the content has been hidden following a copyright notice, and what the notice said.

Restoring: we restore hidden content only if Muse is satisfied the uploader has the right to use it, for example a licence or a release from the photographer. There is no automatic put-back and no fixed clock.

Whether the uploader actually has the right is a matter between you and them. We will pass on what each side sends us, but we do not decide who owns what. If the two of you cannot agree, you can use other legal means available to you in New Zealand.

Search engines and other services keep their own copies. A cached copy of a removed image or page may stay visible elsewhere for a short time after we take it down.

3. Repeat complaints

A profile that attracts repeated copyright complaints may be suspended or terminated at our discretion. This attaches to the profile, and to the login that manages it where the same problem keeps showing up across the profiles it controls. There is no fixed number of strikes; we look at the pattern.

4. Your photos or details used without consent

Photo theft is common in this industry: someone builds a listing out of another worker's pictures, or an ex or a stranger posts private images. You do not need to own the copyright to have it removed. If it is your face, your body or your details, that is enough.

We treat this as a safety matter and put it ahead of ordinary copyright notices. The identity check you send is seen by Muse admin only and is not shared with the uploader. We act under our Terms of Service and the Privacy Act 2020. Where the images are intimate, the Crimes Act 1961 (sections 216G to 216J, intimate visual recordings) and the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015 also apply, and Netsafe (0508 638 723, netsafe.org.nz) can help you with the wider problem beyond this site.

5. Harmful digital communications

Muse Escorts is an online content host under the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015. If content on a listing is about you and you believe it is harmful, you can use the process in section 24 of that Act as well as, or instead of, the routes above.

• Send us your name, a way to contact you, the listing URL and what about the content is harmful to you.
• We tell the author within 48 hours of receiving your complaint.
• The author has 48 hours to respond.
• If they do not respond, or they consent, the content comes down.
• If they object, the content stays up and we tell you. Talk to us first; if we cannot resolve it, you can use other legal means available to you in New Zealand, including Netsafe (0508 638 723).

This process is separate from the anonymous report form and the bait-and-switch report, which stay anonymous. A section 24 complaint needs your name because the author is told a complaint has been made.

6. Agencies

Where a listing is managed by an agency, the agency is the uploader for every profile on its roster. It receives the notice, it is responsible for the response, and any suspension for repeat complaints applies to its login. An escort listed by an agency who finds her own photos on someone else's listing should contact us directly under section 4; she does not need the agency to do it for her.
