Subscription Terms

The short version

• The first 12 months are free for every escort and agency, counted from the day you create your account.
• No credit card is captured at signup.
• After your free period ends, listings are billed weekly per live escort profile from $44.99, depending on your subscription plan.
• Agencies are billed per live escort profile each week.
• You can pause or archive any listing at any time. Billing stops from the next weekly cycle.
• Once a weekly cycle has started there is no refund for it. Any cycle you have paid for that has not yet started is refunded if you cancel.

1. Who these terms apply to

These Subscription Terms apply to every person or business that lists one or more escort profiles on Muse Escorts. That includes independent escorts with a single profile and agencies that manage many profiles under one login. In these terms, "you" means the account holder responsible for the listing, "we", "us" and "Muse" mean Muse Escorts, New Zealand (contact: Muse Escorts admin, support@museescorts.co.nz), and a "live escort profile" means any profile that is publicly visible in our directory at the moment a weekly billing cycle starts.

By creating a listing, keeping a listing live, or clicking to accept these terms at signup or checkout, you agree to be bound by them.

2. Founder launch free period

Every escort and agency lists for free for the first 12 months, counted from the day you sign up, not from any fixed date (the "Founder Launch Window"). During this period:

• No subscription fee is charged for any live escort profile.
• No credit card or payment method is requested at signup.
• You can publish, unpublish, pause, or archive profiles without any billing impact.
• Agencies can add or remove escorts from their agency without charge.

The founder launch is a promotional offer and we make no representation that it will be extended. We will not shorten the Founder Launch Window for an account that has already signed up, except where the account is suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

3. When billing starts

After your Founder Launch Window ends, a paid subscription is required for any escort profile that remains live on Muse. If you take no action, any profile that is still live on the first weekly cycle after your free period ends will roll into paid weekly billing. This is the founder launch converting into a paid subscription.

Before that happens, we will let you know. Our current plan is to send written notice to the email address on your account at approximately 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before your free period ends, and to show an in-app banner inside your dashboard through the same period. Those notices will include the current price, the start date of your first billing cycle, a link to add a payment method, and a link to pause or archive your listings if you do not wish to continue. We reserve the right to adjust the notice schedule provided you receive clear written notice that billing is about to begin.

If you do not add a payment method before your first billing cycle begins, your listings will not be charged. Instead, they will be set to an unpaid state in line with Section 8 (What happens if payment fails).

4. Price and billing cycle

The standard subscription rate is $44.99 per week per live escort profile. Some subscription plans may be billed at a different rate, in which case the rate applicable to your account is the one shown in your subscription dashboard at the start of each billing cycle. You will receive a receipt for each billing cycle.

The billing cycle is weekly. A "week" for billing purposes begins on the day your account first becomes billable and repeats every seven (7) days thereafter. The price shown is the price for one weekly cycle for one live escort profile.

Payment is taken in advance for the upcoming week. When a new weekly cycle starts, we count the number of escort profiles that are live on your account at the moment the cycle starts, and charge accordingly.

5. Agency billing

Agencies are billed per live escort profile, not per agency. At the start of each weekly cycle we count the number of escort profiles on your agency account that are currently live, and charge the rate set out in your subscription plan for each one (currently $44.99 on the standard tier). All roster charges for a given week are combined into a single receipt issued to the agency account.

You can add or remove escorts from your roster at any time. Adding a new escort mid-cycle does not trigger a pro-rata mid-cycle charge. That new profile will be counted at the start of the next weekly cycle. Removing or archiving an escort stops future billing for that profile from the next weekly cycle onwards. There is no refund for the current week once that cycle has started.

The agency account holder is solely responsible for paying all subscription fees incurred across its roster. Individual escorts listed by an agency are not billed directly by Muse.

6. Cancellation, pause, and archive

You can pause, archive, or delete any listing at any time from your dashboard. There is no lock-in period, no minimum term, and no cancellation fee.

• Pausing or archiving a listing takes it off the public directory immediately.
• Any listing that is not live at the start of the next weekly cycle will not be charged for that week.
• The current weekly cycle you have already paid for continues until the end of the week. Your listing does not reappear on the directory just because you have paid.
• Deleting your account entirely removes your listings from public view immediately and stops all future billing. Data retention after deletion is governed by our Data Retention and Deletion Policy.

We do not need a reason to cancel, and we do not require you to call or email to cancel. Self-service actions in your dashboard are sufficient. If you would still like to speak to us, write to support@museescorts.co.nz.

7. Refunds

Once a weekly cycle has started, there is no refund for that cycle, in full or in part, when you cancel, pause or archive a listing. Your listing simply stays up until the end of the week you have paid for. If you have paid for a cycle that has not yet started and you cancel before it begins, we refund that cycle.

As set out in our Terms of Service, you use Muse in trade for the purposes of your business, and we contract out of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 to the extent section 43 of that Act allows. Nothing in these Subscription Terms takes away any right the law does not let us exclude.

We may also choose to issue a discretionary refund or credit where a platform-side technical fault has prevented your listing from appearing on the directory for a meaningful part of a weekly cycle. To request a refund on that basis, email support@museescorts.co.nz within 14 days of the affected week.

8. What happens if payment fails

If a weekly charge is declined by your payment method, we will retry the charge for up to seven (7) days and notify you by email. During that period your listings will remain live so you have time to update your payment details.

If payment has not been successfully collected by the end of that retry period, your listings will be set to inactive and taken off the public directory. Your account and your underlying profile data are not deleted when this happens. You can bring your account back into good standing at any time by updating your payment method and settling any unpaid weekly cycles for the weeks you wish to reactivate.

If your account remains in an unpaid state for more than ninety (90) days with no response to our emails, we may archive your profile data and remove your account in line with our Data Retention and Deletion Policy.

9. Changes to the price

We may change the weekly subscription price from time to time. If we increase the price, we will give existing paying subscribers at least thirty (30) days' written notice by email before the new price takes effect, and we will display the change clearly on the pricing page and inside your dashboard.

If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you can pause, archive, or delete your listings before the new price takes effect and you will not be charged the new amount. Continuing to keep any listing live after the notice period means you accept the new price.

10. Payment processing

Payments are processed by a third party payment provider. Card details and other payment credentials are collected and stored by that provider under its own terms of service and privacy policy, not by Muse. We receive a confirmation of payment success or failure and a limited token that lets us charge the same card on the next weekly cycle.

The name of our current payment provider will be disclosed at the checkout step and in your receipts, and updated here as soon as the provider is selected. Using the Muse subscription means you also agree to the terms of that third party provider as they apply to the payment transaction. We will give you reasonable prior notice if we change payment providers.

11. What your subscription fee is, and what it is not

The weekly subscription fee is a fee for directory advertising space only. It buys you the right to keep one live escort profile visible on the Muse Escorts directory for one week, along with the dashboard tools associated with that listing.

The subscription fee is not a commission, referral fee, booking fee, or revenue share of any kind. Muse Escorts is an advertising directory. We do not arrange, facilitate, broker, or take a cut of anything that happens between an advertiser and a person who contacts them after seeing their listing. All money exchanged between advertisers and their clients is between those parties and is not collected, held, or touched by Muse. 12. Our right to decline or end a subscription

We reserve the right to decline a subscription, or to suspend or terminate an existing subscription, where the account or any listing breaches our Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Content Guidelines, or applicable New Zealand law including the Prostitution Reform Act 2003, the Crimes Act 1961, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993.

Where we end a subscription for breach, there is no refund for the weekly cycle that has already started. In every case, any weekly fee you have paid for a cycle that has not yet started is refunded.

13. Billing communications

Emails we send you about your subscription, for example the launch conversion reminders, receipts, failed payment notices, and price change notices, are commercial electronic messages that relate to an existing commercial relationship between you and Muse. You consent to receive them for as long as you hold an account with us. These messages are transactional and are sent on the basis of your ongoing subscription in line with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

Marketing emails that are separate from your subscription are only sent with your express consent, and every one of them contains an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect the billing and subscription emails described above, because we need to send those to administer the subscription you chose.

14. Electronic agreement

You agree that these Subscription Terms, any amendments to them, and any other documents associated with your subscription (including receipts) may be signed, delivered, and retained electronically in line with Part 4 of the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017. Your electronic acceptance at signup, at checkout, or by continuing to keep any listing live after a notice of change, has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.

15. Currency, governing law, and disputes

All fees are quoted and payable in NZ dollars. These Subscription Terms are governed by the law of New Zealand.

If something goes wrong, talk to us first at support@museescorts.co.nz and we will try to sort it out. If we cannot, you can use other legal means available to you in New Zealand.

Nothing in these terms prevents you from exercising rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986 or the Privacy Act 2020, or from making a complaint to a regulator such as the Commerce Commission or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

16. Relationship to the main Terms of Service

These Subscription Terms are incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Content Guidelines, and our Data Retention and Deletion Policy. If there is any conflict between these Subscription Terms and the main Terms of Service on the specific subject of billing, payment, price changes, or cancellation, these Subscription Terms take precedence for that subject. On any other subject, the main Terms of Service take precedence.

We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. We will email the address on your account at least thirty (30) days before any change takes effect, post the updated terms on this page, and refresh the "Last updated" date. If you do not want to continue under the updated terms, you can pause, archive or delete your listings before the change takes effect, and any cycle you have paid for that has not yet started is refunded. Keeping a listing live after the change takes effect means the updated terms apply to you.
