Get verified
One photo with the rock on hand sign, today's date, and your outfit matching a profile photo.
Verification is a single photo that proves the profile is yours. You hold a piece of paper in one hand and make a rock on hand sign with the other, then take one photo. An admin reviews it (usually within one to two business days) and a verified badge appears on your profile.
You can submit your verification photo at any time, including while your profile is in pending review. Profile review and identity verification run in parallel, so you do not have to wait for one before starting the other.
What the photo needs to show
- A rock on gesture with one hand (index and pinky fingers extended, middle and ring fingers down).
- A piece of paper held in the other hand showing all of:
- Today's date
- The word Muse
- Your display name exactly as it appears on your profile
- The same outfit as one of the photos on your profile. This is how we match the verification to your listing.
- Your face clearly visible and unobstructed.
- Good lighting, no filters or edits.
- One photo, JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 10MB.
How to submit it
- From your dashboard, click Verify now at the top, or use the Verify Profile item in your setup checklist. Agencies open Verification from the sidebar.
- Look at the example photo shown next to the requirements. Match it.
- Click Choose Photo or drag your photo into the upload box.
- Wait for the upload to finish. The status updates to Pending Review.
While it is pending you can hit Cancel Verificationand upload a different photo if you spot a problem.
What happens next
An admin checks your photo against your profile photos. The outfit match is the main thing they are looking for, alongside a clear face, the rock on hand sign, and a readable paper.
Once approved, the Verified badge appears on your profile and the photo you uploaded is securely deleted. If your photo is rejected, you will see the reason on the same page and can upload a new one straight away.
Common reasons for rejection
- Outfit does not match any photo on the profile.
- Paper is missing one of date, "Muse", or display name, or the writing is hard to read.
- Hand sign is the wrong gesture or not visible.
- Face is partially covered or out of frame.
